WHAT DO WE DO AS AN ORGANIZATION?

  • Resolve Disputes

Resolve disputes among the leagues, teams, players, coaches, and team representatives within the jurisdiction of NMSSA. This is done through due process, providing an opportunity to be heard, and a formal appeal process.

  • Provide Services

Provide services equitably, regardless of competition, race, color, religious belief, sexual orientation, or national origin.

  • Offer Membership

Offer membership to players, coaches, teams, and team representatives who participate in a competition recognized by USASA, USSF, and FIFA who are duly registered with NMSSA.

  • Offer Competitions & Tournaments

Offer state, national, and other various competitions or tournaments made available to all members registered with NMSSA

  • Provide Insurance

Provide cost-reimbursement insurance for players who are registered with NMSSA.

  • Assign Referees

Assign licensed referees through the State Referee Committee (SRC) to NMSSA games, competitions, matches, and tournament play.

  • Marketing and Promotion

NMSSA has a thriving social media presence on Instagram and Facebook. All of our leagues, events, and tournaments are captured on these platforms. NMSSA can also post events and flyers on the website. We are NOW OFFERING a NEWSLETTER function to email all NMSSA members to keep them in the know. All of our leagues are also featured on our custom linktree.

  • Work With NMSRC

Work with the NM State Referee Committee (SRC) to grow, mentor, and foster referees, ultimately providing licensed referees to our affiliated leagues.

  • Offer Registration

Offer a state-wide registration system to all of our affiliated leagues.

  • Provide COI’s

Provide Certificates of Insurance (COI’s) to all affiliated leagues to book and reserve fields.

  • Build Relationships

Build relationships with vendors, partners, and sponsors to further enhance the amateur soccer landscape.

  • Provide Support

Provide support to all leagues in ways that support our mission.

WHAT WE ARE NOT:

  • NMSSA does not tell...

NMSSA does not tell each league how to operate or run their respective leagues. However, leagues are expected to comply with the basic requirements of affiliation and operate within their own respective league bylaws. NMSSA serves as a place for members to file disputes, complaints, and appeals when issues are not resolved at the league level.

  • A paid or for-profit organization

A paid or for-profit organization. NMSSA is a 501c4 non-profit organization and all of its board members are volunteers. NMSSA is a tax exempt non-profit, but donations are not tax deductible.

  • An insurance plan

An insurance plan. NMSSA offers a reimbursement coverage to players and field insurance as a benefit, but is not simply an insurance coverage. Please see our insurance tab on the website for specific information regarding both policies.
